about LXC
LXC ('leksi) is the man when it comes to hardcore drum'n'bass and weird electronics from leipzig.
looking back to early sonic experiments with gabba kickdrums back in 1993, he made it to releases on labels such as death$ucker, phantomnoise, santorin and plainaudio. upcoming stuff on offshore, subtle audio and sozialistischer plattenbau are promising to continue a path of an unique sound and fx design.
in 2003, alphacut records was launched, providing drum'n'bass, breakcore, so-called idm and further trash.
under the flag of d.i.y., LXC is a&r, producer, cutting engineer, graphic designer and distributor,
all in one person.
not to forget, there are activities as promoter since 1999, bringing not quantity but quality to dancefloors all over leipzig. party series like strukturbruch or mash it proved it, featuring international acts and loads of various styles.
the future won't be silent!

first concept album
conceived as a kind of different drum'n'bass album for a couple of years, the lp entitled
"we have to hold apart" was born as a collection of really confusing & probably even refreshing clicks'n'bass tunes until the winter of 2002/03.
sharply cut pieces of old school drum machines and disfigured crackles of synthosaurs create a shaky uptempo 7/8th bleep blues. everything is screeching on a dusty silver tray, tasty served with juicy fx.
filled up with several younger ambient and illbient works, this lp shows all excesses LXC never has dared to get involved in before: minimal techno, dark downbreaks, field recordings and whatnot. Come in and never find out of this odd little world that is what drum'n'bass never was and idm never will be.
it became released in november 2005 by plainaudio.com
split genius (lol)
by the way LXC is working on several experimental projects like apeiron (friendly analogue ambient noise), LXXXC (chiptune moniker) and others, using electronic acoustics, synthesizer development, combining beats and handmade sounds on instruments like viola or bass, and sometimes also writing some special concept albums with blings & klonks, clicks & bass and whatnot which will probably never be released.
big things are coming up on collaboration fronts: the studio is becoming more and more into a place for affiliated artists to rework their ideas, signal processing and mastering. watch out for works with martsman, karl marx stadt and mackjiggah, just to name a few.
